Pregnancy Care
You are building a family — a beautiful legacy that reaches far into the future. The care you give yourself during pregnancy is one of the most loving gifts you can offer your child, helping to lay a strong, healthy foundation for their life ahead.
At Generations, I provide comprehensive, personalized prenatal care for low-risk women in a relaxed, friendly office environment. Families and children are always welcome. I order and collect labs, perform ultrasounds, confirm fetal heartbeat and growth, and deliver medical management throughout your pregnancy. I diagnose and treat common pregnancy-related conditions, such as thyroid issues or bladder infections. If your situation becomes more complex, I collaborate with trusted specialists in the community to ensure you receive the best possible care.
I take the time to truly listen—especially to complex medical histories or personal stories—and tailor my care to your individual needs. My focus is on supporting your best pregnancy through nutrition, lifestyle guidance, education, and birth planning.
Care is provided up to 32 weeks of pregnancy. With extensive experience attending births in hospitals, birth centers, and home settings, I can help you explore your options and find the birth setting that feels right for you and your family. When the time is right, I’ll ensure a smooth transfer of care—complete with all your records—to your chosen birth provider.
I’d love to support you on this journey.

"Having had some varied experiences with healthcare in the past, we were very thoughtful about who we chose to support us during this journey as first-time parents. From our very first appointment, Cindie was warm, welcoming, and kind. She created an environment where both my husband and I felt comfortable and truly heard. Cindie took the time to listen carefully and answer all of our questions thoughtfully. She also followed up with helpful resources and recommendations that left us feeling informed and well prepared."

What is a Nurse-Midwife?
Nurse-midwives are registered nurses who have completed advanced training in a master’s or doctoral program. They specialize in caring for women throughout all stages of life.
They provide prenatal care, attend births, and offer postpartum support. Their approach focuses on preventive health, patient education, and helping women make informed decisions. Nurse-midwives also perform routine health screenings and diagnose and treat common gynecological issues.
You can find nurse-midwives working in hospitals, birth centers, clinics, public health departments, and private practices.

Research shows clear benefits of midwife-led care for low-risk pregnancies.
A major 2024 review looked at data from more than 1.4 million women. It compared midwife-led care with standard obstetric care and found that midwife care is linked to:
-
Lower chance of cesarean birth, forceps, or vacuum-assisted delivery
-
Less use of labor induction medications (like Pitocin) and epidurals
-
Fewer cases of maternal infection, blood transfusion, or ICU admission
-
Fewer babies needing care in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU)
-
No increase in serious problems such as heavy bleeding after birth, severe perineal tears, low Apgar scores, or baby loss around birth
-
Better success with breastfeeding
These results suggest that midwife-led care often means fewer medical interventions while keeping mothers and babies safe.
